Pavel Ovseiko qualified in Economics and Statistics, Master in Social Administration, pursued courses of study and research in Comparative Social Policy at Jesus College, Oxford and in the Politics of Health Care Reform in Britain at the London School of Economics and the Health Select Committee of the House of Commons of the British Parliament. He is International Policy Fellow at the Center for Policy Studies of the Central European University in Budapest and currently Visiting Fellow at the Max Plank Institute for the Study of Societies in Cologne. His general research interests are in the fields of the politics of social policy, welfare ideology, organised interests, international comparative health policy, and transitional development of Central and Eastern European welfare states. He is presently undertaking a project looking at the politics of health care reform in Central and Eastern Europe with special reference to the role of supranational organisations
