- Developing along ethno-sectarian lines, the post-war Iraqi media is poised to become a weapon in a time of conflict. Based on past lessons learned about media in deeply divided societies, Iraq's government should focus as much on the education of media professionals as it does on media regulation. Interested international organizations are also advised to take part in training Iraqi journalists and monitoring the Iraqi media as it covers conflict.
