2003 - 2004: Stimulating the fiscal policies of war-affected areas in Croatia
The objectives of the project are to evaluate the effectiveness of the current Croatian fiscal policy with a special focus to the policies concerning profit tax reductions for business entities in war-affected regions; conduct research with a special focus to enterprise characteristics and behavior as well as profit-reinvestment tendencies; investigate the impact of enterprise characteristics on investment behavior; provide input for more elaborate fiscal policy aimed at stimulating investment in war-affected regions; and write a research and policy paper for the Advisory Council of the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Public Works, and the Ministry of Crafts and Small and Medium Enterprises of Croatia.
