2003 - 2004: Regional protectionism in Russia: Harmful or beneficial?
The project objectives are to study the significance of regional protectionism favoring local producers in Russia; analyze the consequences of the regional protectionism for the economic development of the regions; apply a political economy approach and a simple partial equilibrium model of regional protectionism; and write a research and policy paper in the field of monetary and fiscal policy reform for Russian federal and local governments.
